In the spring of my sophomore year, I joined the Peabody Press as a staff writer. I have since discovered a deep passion for writing and the relational aspect of journalism--the aspect that allows me to speak with people I typically wouldn't outside of my work. As the Tennessee delegate at the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism conference and the Tennessee Journalist of the Year, I strive to use the best journalistic practices as a means of leading my staff by example.
