Editing, Leadership, and Team Building

While many of my peers at the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference encountered challenges managing very large staffs, managing a small staff comes with its own challenges, too. I only work with one other co-editor to manage a staff of around 16 people and publish a 12-page issue once a month, and learning how to collaborate with one editor while mentoring relatively young writers has been incredibly rewarding. The Al Neuharth conference also inspired me to learn from my peers who managed large staffs. The products of those lessons are showcased below. In addition to completing the projects found in this section, I also provide feedback to our writers via Google Docs.
